Rhythm Future Jass Quartet

Occidental Center for the Arts is pleased to welcome back Rhythm Future Quartet, on tour from New York and Boston. Named after a Django Reinhart tune, this virtuosic foursome performs dynamic and fiery arrangements of Gypsy jazz standards and original compositions with a newly minted sound. Led by award-winning composer and violinist Jason Anick, RF also features Finnish jazz guitar star Olli Soikkeli, 19 year old Djangofest winner Max O’Rourke on second guitar, and Greg Loughman on bass. Dedicated to expanding the boundaries of Gypsy jazz in today’s musical universe, the quartet has just released a new CD Travels, which reflects their experiences touring around the world , drawing on diverse international rhythms and musical idioms. http://rhythmfuturequartet.com.
