Introduction to WordPress

Learn the basics of the most widely-used web content management system! WordPress is running more than 43% of the Internet. We'll learn reasons why, get familiar with the parts of WordPress, and practice working with pages, posts, plugins, themes and more. We will work with your existing website, or create a free WordPress website for you in minutes. Based on your experience, we then spend a couple of hours learning about WordPress, how to make simple content updates, the basics of theme customization, and how to add some of the more than 59,000 free plugins to add functionality such as ecommerce, contact forms, and search engine optimization. Intended for beginners and those who want to review the basics of how WordPress works. After checkout, a Zoom videoconference link will be sent to you. Prior to the class, download Zoom to your computer and test that your sound, video, and screen sharing work. The class will be interactive, so the more you're able to use your computer the more value you'll get from the class! Cancellation Policy: Attendees must register for classes or request cancellations/refunds 72 hours in advance. (Some classes may require more time.) Eventbrite fees will be charged to the attendee.
